Unspoilt Rural France

Situated in central South West France the department of Lot enjoys an amiable climate, an abundance of history and rural tradition yet it has avoided the over-commercialisation and resultant crowding which has spoilt some of the adjacent regions. Traditional agriculture is the dominant industry and this has maintained a landscape which is not only beautiful but also rich with birds, butterflies and wild flowers. The region has been important since prehistoric times and a wealth of historic and architectural features are open to the public.
